Learn about the 1nes Project
What is the 1nes Project
The 1nes project is a multi-media youth empowerment program in collaboration with the Nancy Campbell Academy that seeks to provide opportunities for young artists to use their talents to address many of the important issues of our changing and challenging world. The mission of the 1nes project is to empower young people to make informed and responsible choices in their lives and take positive action within their schools and communities.
1nes is a docu/style – educational entertainment, youth-empowerment program focused on issues effecting young people all over the world. The target audience will focus on ages 9 to 17. The program is hosted by a group of young performing artists, selected from the international community, who will utilize their talents and a unique blend of mediums to seek insight and solutions for critical issues challenging today’s youth.
The 1nes Project aims to provide a forum where issues, ideas and solutions can be explored through stimulating discussions, fast paced – fact finding investigative reporting, coupled with mini-documentaries and interviews that explore each topic and how it affects individuals and societies around the world. Personal stories will highlight individuals who have overcome challenges in the face of difficulties.
Group members will also put their artistic skills to the test by working with professional artists to create original presentations that heighten the emotional impact of each segment and endeavour to use the arts as a tool to raise awareness and inspire personal and social transformation.
